The Bay’s ambassador E-40 got interviewed last month on NPR’s “Microphone Check” by A Tribe Called Quest’s Ali Shaheed Muhammed and NPR Music editor Frannie Kelley. They talk about E-40’s long music career, SF Bay Area Hip-Hop scene, and the music industry game. E-40 also speaks on the various music relationships he’s built over the years. He drops music business game on us, things that have made him successful over the years, and how he’s surviving and eating in this age of the Internet and new media.
