Steve Arrington was the front man for the 70’s and 80’s band, Slave. He helped pioneer a sound that spawned every genre of electronic music in the last 40 plus years. He’s been sampled by everybody from from Q-Tip, Jay-Z, N.W.A., Mariah Carey to De La Soul and Jermaine Dupri. Arrington and contemporary funk crusader Dam-Funk converged to bring you Higher, a collaborative album featuring Arrington on vocals and Dam-Funk on production. The album drops August 6th via Stones Throw Records.
