He was open and acknowledged everybody. You got his humanity immediately. There was no mistaking it. Feeling like everybody is dying. I loved Michael. I'm mad at his death. His humility and talent was an illustrated love that hadn't yet hit a stride. He needed more time.
I regret not stopping to just talk to #MichaelKWilliams. At the time, he was blowing up on The Wire. 10 feet away from my desk at The Mugshot Magazine office, he stood, doing a photo shoot. We did a profile on him. I remember looking at him, thinking that he was a beautiful man.
