Afro Punk (2003) is the documentary that sparked a movement, an online community, and a music and arts festival. As part of the Pow! Wow! Hawai’i week long event, in conjunction with Thinkspace Gallery, they had a show at Honolulu Museum of Art School on February 8th. Dubbed “Pow! Wow!: Exploring The New Contemporary Movement” the show featured 2×2′ pieces from nearly 50 artists. Some of the featured artists included Fernando Chamarelli, Curiot and Low Bros.
