Everything Comes From The Streets (2014) is a documentary by filmmaker and USD Ethnic Studies professor Alberto López Pulido about the lowrider car culture in San Diego, in particular the neighborhood that surrounds the iconic Chicano Park. The photographer and filmmaker Angela Boatwright has made a documentary series on East Los Angles’ predominately (but not limited to) Latino and Chicano youth’s backyard Punk scene. The documentary East Los was done in partnership between shoe company Vans and Boatwright, for Vans’ documentary series Living On The Wall. The documentary series captures a glimpse of the lives of the youth at these backyard punk shows. East Los shows the different sides of youth who attend these backyard gatherings.
