Artist SpY put together this buggie instillation on the side of a building in Madrid. 150 fake cameras on a grid, pointed in a single direction. It’s an obvious, simple, but effective symbol for social commentary on the invasion of privacy. Apparently George Zimmerman is a painter. He sold a painting on eBay for $100,099.99. It was to help him raise funds to pay part of the $2.5 million he owes his legal team. On the same day eBay removed an anti-racist oil painting, “A Tale of Two Hoodies” by artist Michael D’Antuono. Floridian artist and humanitarian activist Swoon has a show, “Motherlands” that just opened at Galerie LJ. MizLiz via Fecal Face shot this video interview of her talking about the concept behind “Motherlands.” The visuals look like sort of a compilation from her past shows.
