Walmart recently hijacked a popular image from California based artist Eddie Colla and have been selling it on their online store. To add insult to injury, they call it “Art Wall Banksy ‘Asking for Permission’ Canvas Wall Art.” In response, and in an effort to reclaim his image, Colla started a 1xRun campaign with the same image, but remixed. Yi-Shiang Yang is a painter out of Keelung, Taiwan. The texture in her eerie paintings give them a creeping pulse. Brooklyn Street Art founder and notable photographer Jamie Rojo recently got arrested over mistaken identity at the sight of Banksy’s presumably last stunt (a throw up in actual bubble letters). Street artist Space Invader also got cuffed in New York City earlier last month. Strange timing. Rojo posted some fresh Swoon flicks. San Francisco, CA based artist David Young V gets it up at The Loin. He’s doing a wall-to-wall on site instillation.
